Osmose Utilities Services, a contractor for RushShelby Energy, is performing wood pole restorations in your area beginning the week of February 26. The scope of their work is to restore below-strength wood poles that RushShelby Energy is attached to.
This process involves gaining access to these poles and driving a steel truss below ground beside the pole. This truss is then banded to the pole.
Additionally, these poles are given internal remedial treatment to prevent further decay. Pneumatic equipment is used throughout this process, along with a variety of small hand tools.
Disruption of electric service is not expected. Entering your property, in some cases, will be necessary to access RushShelby Energy poles.
Please keep in mind that any of these poles that Osmose cannot gain access to will need to be revisited by RushShelby Energy and changed out with a new pole. That is typically a more disruptive process than pole restoration.
