Job Description

This position will share responsibility as support for the daily billing activities of our Electric Utility Cooperative. It will also interact in billing related matters with other departments within the Cooperative.

  • Facilitate and complete monthly billing for electric and propane accounts
  • Address and solve client questions and issues
  • Post payments
  • Daily balancing
  • Review and apply state and local monetary aid
  • Set up and monitor prepaid billing accounts
  • Process and set up phone notifications
  • Maintain the work area in a neat and organized manner
  • Participate in safety and training meetings as required/offered

Job Related Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or satisfactory GED equivalent required
  • Experience in customer service

Special Requirements

  • The ability to maintain accuracy while multitasking, working on multiple projects and meeting various deadlines
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality of company information and integrity of financial information
  • The ability to manage and maintain good member relations in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work within deadline
  • The ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a personal computer, printers, copy machines, telephone, and fax machine
