| RushShelby Energy’s new Energy Management Program is an innovative new energy savings program that puts technology to use to save energy so you don’t have to. The program is free and a simple phone call is all it takes to have a switch installed on your water heater and air conditioner. (An example of the water heater switch is shown at right). Then, when energy usage is at its peak a signal can be sent to cycle down the water heater and heating and cooling units for short periods of time. You’ll still have plenty of hot water and the inside temperature of your home shouldn’t be compromised. The good news is that you’ll be saving energy, as well as helping out the environment, without having to do a thing. Will you get rich off of all the money you save? Well, since your appliances are only cycled down for small periods of time the answer is no. But by getting as many people as possible to participate it helps reduce demand when energy is the most expensive, and that means we can help keep energy costs low as well as help reduce greenhouse emissions. So in the end we all benefit. Download details of the Energy Management Program FAQs about the EM Program What is the Energy Management Program? |

What is the goal of the Energy Management Program? What are the benefits of the Energy Management Program? So will I see a savings on my power bill if I participate? How does the program work? Will I run out of hot water? Or feel uncomfortable with the air is cycled off? Why is RushShelby Energy promoting a program that will help it sell less electricity? So how do I participate in the Energy Management Program? Who will install the switch? We have hired Hicks Air to install the switches in our western district and Steve Ward in our eastern district. Only these individuals are trained installers for RushShelby Energy.
